Mantra and Pranayama II: Therapeutic Breath and Subtle Sound
In this course, you’ll deepen your understanding of the healing power of breath and sound as tools for transformation. Building on foundational pranayama and mantra practices, you’ll learn to apply langhana (calming) and brahmana (energizing) techniques therapeutically to balance the body, steady the mind, and regulate the nervous system.
Through the lens of yoga and Ayurveda, we’ll explore how vayus, doshas, and gunas interact with breath and sound to influence energy, mood, and health. You’ll study classical teachings such as Yoga Sutra 2.52 and Vedantic perspectives, grounding timeless wisdom in practical, evidence-informed application.
Mantra will be experienced as more than words—it becomes breath in vibration, a bridge between the physical and subtle. You’ll gain confidence in selecting and sequencing pranayama and mantra practices based on individual constitutions, conditions, and therapeutic goals while understanding contraindications and safe adaptations.
By the end, you’ll have the knowledge and embodied skill to weave therapeutic breath and subtle sound into your yoga therapy sessions with greater clarity, confidence, and sensitivity.
